about Me
Oliver Hall is an experienced Deisgner, Theatre Maker, and Costumier based in Melbourne, Australia, on the ancestral lands of the Bunurong, Wurundjeri, and Wadawurrung peoples of the Kulin Nations.
His work spans over a range of genres; including film, theatre, opera and ballet, grounded in his practice of Costume for Performance.
After being awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Costume) from the National Institute of Dramatic Art, Oliver furthered his academic education with a Master of Production Design (Stage) at the Victorian College of the Arts.
As a queer artist with a background in historical costuming, Oliver focuses on reinterpreting classic narratives and celebrating diverse human experiences.
He believes that the screen and the stage are spaces for connection and inclusivity, enhancing stories through authentic design.
Oliver most values collaboration, authenticity, and the voices of his fellow artists, believing the best work comes from a shared creative process.
